Behind Nourished with Intuition…

Hi, I’m Sara - founder of Nourished with Intuition. I’m really glad you’re here.

I’m a Registered Nutritionist and Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor, and most importantly, a mum. Family wellbeing sits at the heart of my work - and when I talk about wellbeing, I mean both mental and physical health.

Through compassionate, science-based guidance, I support adults and families to build calm, trusting relationships with food and their bodies. My approach is integrative and collaborative, complementing any other care you may be receiving from doctors, therapists, or other healthcare professionals.

In our work together, support is grounded in intuitive eating principles and nutrition science, and always tailored to your unique needs, values, and circumstances. I draw on age-appropriate frameworks, including Ellyn Satter’s Division of Responsibility and baby-led weaning approaches, to guide feeding in ways that support both child development and overall family wellbeing.

At Nourished with Intuition, nourishment is about far more than what’s on your plate - just as your body is worth far more than a number on the scales. Many of the messages we’re surrounded by suggest otherwise. Part of my role is to gently challenge rigid or unhelpful beliefs about food and body ideals, supporting you in developing a more flexible, and compassionate understanding of eating - one where food is not moralised and bodies are treated with care and respect, not seen as something to be fixed.

My own journey with food led me to a place of healing. From that place grew a deep desire to offer my child and the families I support a simpler, more peaceful approach to nourishment and health.

Trust over control sits at the core of my work. I aim to create space for both parents and children to learn how to listen to their bodies over time. Whether you’re weaning your little one, navigating fussy eating, or working to rebuild trust with food, you will receive thoughtful, compassionate guidance every step of the way.

i am the soul that lives within.”

Association for Nutrition

As the title “Nutritionist” is not legally protected in the UK, there can be variation in training and regulation. Understanding the distinctions between nutritionists, nutritional therapists, and dietitians can help clarify what each role involves.

The Association for Nutrition (AfN) is the UK’s independent professional body for nutritionists and sets standards for education, ethics, and professional practice. To learn more, you can visit the AfN website or view a summary outlining the roles, qualifications, regulators, and professional bodies for each of these professions.
