WE ARE…

open & Compassionate

We offer a safe, non-judgmental and respectful space where food, bodies, and experiences are never criticised. Our work is rooted in curiosity and understanding, not rules or shame.

Personalised & Responsive

Every family and individual is different. Our guidance is thoughtfully tailored to your needs, values, culture, and circumstances, recognising that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to nourishment.

Purposeful & Goal-Focused

We work with clear intentions and meaningful goals, supporting you to make changes that reflect skills you would like to gain, beliefs you’d like to let go of, and aligned with long-term wellbeing.

behind nourished with intuition…

Hi, I’m Sara - founder of Nourished with Intuition. I’m really glad you’re here.

I’m an AfN Registered Nutritionist, an [insert Intuitive Eating Counsellor when qualified], and most importantly, Helena’s (aka Lenny’s) mum. Family wellbeing sits at the heart of everything we do at Nourished with Intuition, and when we talk about wellbeing, we mean both mental and physical health.

Through compassionate, science-based guidance, I lead our work in supporting families to build a calm, trusting relationship with food and their bodies. As an Intuitive Eating counsellor, I take an integrative approach to health that works alongside and complements other evidence-based care our clients may be receiving from dietitians, doctors, therapists, or other healthcare professionals. I draw from intuitive eating principles alongside nutrition science and professional judgement, always tailoring support to each family’s needs and circumstances. I also use age-appropriate frameworks, such as those developed by Ellyn Satter and baby-led weaning approaches, to guide feeding in a way that supports both development and family wellbeing.

We see nourishment as something that goes far beyond what’s on our plates, just as our bodies are worth far more than a number on the scales. Yet many of the messages we’re surrounded by suggest otherwise. In our practice, we gently challenge unhelpful or rigid beliefs around food and body ideals, and support a more flexible understanding of eating - one where food is not moralised, and where bodies are treated with care and respect rather than perceived as something to be fixed.

My own journey with food led me to a place of healing, and from that place grew a deep desire to offer my child, and the families we work with, a simpler and more peaceful approach to nourishment and health.

We believe in trust over control, and in creating space for both parents and children to learn how to listen to their bodies over time. Whether you’re weaning your little one, navigating fussy eating, or working to heal your own relationship with food, we’re here to support and guide you along the way.

What is Intuitive Eating?

Intuitive Eating is a gentle, flexible approach to food that focuses on listening to your body rather than relying on rigid external rules or diets. It’s about rebuilding trust, learning to recognise hunger, fullness, and satisfaction, and allowing yourself to enjoy food with less guilt or restriction.

Rather than labelling foods as “good” or “bad,” Intuitive Eating encourages curiosity, compassion, and balance. Over time, this more neutral approach to food can help reduce its emotional charge, creating space for gentle nutrition that supports both physical health and emotional wellbeing.

Intuitive eating is aligned with several evidence-based frameworks, primarily operating as a non-diet, weight-inclusive, and health-promoting approach, such as HAES® (Health at Every Size®).

For families, Intuitive Eating principles can support a calmer, more pressure-free relationship with food. Children are encouraged to trust their bodies, explore foods with curiosity, and develop lifelong habits rooted in confidence rather than control.

Intuitive Eating isn’t about perfection or eating a certain way. It’s about finding what feels supportive for you, and building a peaceful, sustainable relationship with food over time.
